An Interfaith Dialogue on peace and harmony is organised by ADPT Bangladesh[Atisha Dipankar Peace Trust Bangladesh] is held on May16, Saturday at Caritus Bangladesh, Ctg centre with supported by HWPL Korea, Network For Peacemakers and Atish Dipankar Society(ADS).
The session is highlighted to strengthen cooperation for peace activities and interfaith harmony, promoting role of religious leaders in peacebuilding, empowering belief systems, reducing intolerance, misinformation, social polarisation, mistrust and combating ill motivated social challenges and commitments for unbounded humanity for all living beings and nonliving natures.

Four speakers from Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity respectively Adv Mir Ferdous Alam Salim, Dr. Sreepati Das, Ven Priyabangsha Bhikkhu and pastor Barnoba Gomes presented on noble religious teachings from holy scriptures and emphasised on religious literacy to overcome difficulties, religious supremacy, intolerance and services for uplifting one humanity. Representatives from four major faiths to the stage, sharing their perspective on peace and harmony. They emphasised on building bridges among different religious, faith, cultural groups to enhance mutual respect, connectivity, collaboration, commitments, meaningful engagement and in true actions.
HWPL Korea represented the global peace campaign and its commitment for lasting peace and humanity. A MOU was signed for future collaboration in peacebuilding, peace education and launching a religious peace academy. About 65 learned attendance and peacemakers participated in the multi-faith dialogue.
The religious leaders speak as one- that's not a meeting, no longer a dream,not to debate but to declare peace together. That’s peace achieved with commitments from the major religious groups.
The sessions were presided by ADPT Bangladesh Chair and Trustee Professor Tushar Kanti Barua and conducted by General Secretary and Trustee Sanat Kumar Barua.

Universal Doctrine of Achariya Atisha Dipankar Srigyan on Human Excellence and World Peace

ADPT Bangladesh [Atisha Dipankar Peace Trust Bangladesh] organised a seminar on great master Atisha Dipankar’s universal doctrine on 'Human Excellence and Global Peace' was held on May16, Sunday in Chattogram, Bangladesh. It was aimed at cultivating Atisha’s philosophical thoughts and efforts on developing human excellence through his visionary teachings on wisdom and compassion to build an ethical and value based society that would enlighten the human spirit following his legacy as a global messenger of loving-kindness and peace.

Key note speaker of the seminar- Ven Karunananda Thero, Abbot at Atisha Dipankar Memorial Complex and Relics Stupa, Bikrampur, Munshiganj, Dhaka presented a paper about the historical Buddhist Pala dynasty and Achariya Atisha Dipankar Srigyan (982-1054 AD) on his scholarly wisdom and vast insightful Buddhist philosophy those were preached over the Bengal region to east Asia countries.
Ven KarunandaThero added that the Great master Atisha was the last most saint scholar and humanitarian Buddhist monk in the Bengal Buddhist era, especially revered for spreading Buddhism in Tibet and his contributions on Buddhist philosophy, traditional values,ethics, humility, and monastic discipline are highlighted in Buddhist golden history. He is often called the “ Thrice Great ” because he mastered the teachings of multiple enlightened mentors, merging profound emptiness with active, universal compassion. Other speakers were Professor Dr. Dipankar Srigyan Barua, Principal Shimul Barua, Professor Dr. Ujjwal Kumar Dev, Dr. Priyadharshi Mahathero, Ven Bodhimitra Thero, Adv Nitai Prashad Ghosh, Adv Mir Md. Ferdous Alam Salim. The speakers called upon
cultivating the great master Atisha’s philosophical thoughts and efforts, also embracing local intellectuals contributing to enlighten human society, sustainable social change, promoting peace and humanity.
