THANX is a community based volunteer organization. The word “THANX” came from the word “Thanks” means “Thank You”. Generally ‘Thanks’ is used to express gratitude to someone. Here is the reason why we have chosen the word as our organization name. The ‘THANX’ is not only a name of our organization, but also a name of social movement. The ‘THANX’ carries a message to appreciate every kind of noble
deeds as well as the people who are working for the social welfare. Thus we can encourage people to do good works and appreciate them for their noble activities. This is a little attempt to bring about a substantial change in our society by spreading the message- ‘we want to make change!’
The name ‘THANX’ also consists of five words that express the quality of our dedicated volunteers. The words are: Tremendous, Helpful, Altruist, Noble Minded and Expectant. With the slogan ‘be with us...beside humanity’, we convey everyone to express solidarity with the voice of the underprivileged people. It doesn’t mean that we are saying to stand beside the organization rather than it carries the message on behalf of these people who are affected very badly for our wrong deeds. Here we encourage everyone to be involved in social welfare activities and to appreciate others by saying ‘THANX’. The organization is run by the students and the volunteers of the organization come from different educational institutions including English, Bangla and Madrasha medium. This organization is a non-profitable volunteer organization. It aims to spread the concept of volunteerism with a view to developing the society and encouraging the young to be involved in creative activities by promoting their potential talents. THANX
