Halda River : One of the most important natural carp breeding ground of Bangladesh from which fertilized carps fish (Catla catla,Labeo rohita, Labeo calbasu and Cirrhinus mrigala) eggs are collected by local fisherman and egg collectors during May to June almost every year. The collected eggs hatched in the artificial mud-made scoop on the riverbank and produced fry are supplied in several regions of the country for aquaculture.
