According to the recent State of Global Air 2025 report, approximately 7.9 million deaths worldwide in 2023 were linked to air pollution, with 86% of them caused by non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, stroke, COPD, and diabetes. Bangladesh is one of the most air-polluted countries in the world, where more than 200,000 premature deaths occur every year.

Respiratory diseases, such as asthma, COPD, and pneumonia, are increasing the most as a result of air pollution. Additionally, the risk of heart disease, stroke, dementia, lung cancer, and water pollution-related diseases like diarrhea, cholera, and typhoid is also on the rise.

Medicines(💊)heal people, but when pharmaceutical waste is disposed of improperly, it can harm our environment, wildlife, and public health.Expired medicines, used syringes, and medical packaging should never be treated as ordinary waste. Responsible disposal is a small action that creates a big impact for a cleaner and safer future.

This documentary highlights the importance of responsible medicine disposal — because safety doesn’t end at consumption, it continues until the very last step. 🌍♻️
