Alhamdulillah, we are truly honored and delighted to share that Dr. Mohammad Sahabuddin, Director of USTC Research Cell (URC) and Associate Professor, Department of Finance and Banking, University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), has been invited as a speaker at the 1st International Conference on Shariah Economics and Sustainable Development (ICSESD 2026), organized by the Association of Islamic Economics Doctoral Programs in Indonesia (APDESYI), to be held on June 24, 2026.

The conference, themed “Advancing Islamic Economics and Finance for Sustainable, Inclusive, and Digital Global Development,” will bring together distinguished scholars, researchers, and professionals from around the world to exchange knowledge and foster global academic collaboration.

We are also proud that USTC will serve as a co-organizing partner of this prestigious international conference, reflecting its growing commitment to academic excellence, internationalization, and impactful research.

I am pleased to share that our collaborative research paper, “The Adoption of E-Ticketing for Sustainable Tourism: Perceived Influence of Technological, Socio-Economic, and Administrative Factors,” has been published in Tourism and Hospitality and is now available online at the following link: https://www.mdpi.com/2673-5768/7/5/130. Many congratulations to all co-authors for their scholarly contributions. It is a Scopus-indexed journal and CiteCore 3.7

Heartiest congratulations to Shariar Hasan, a BBA Final Semester student of FBES, USTC, for successfully presenting his research paper titled “Islamic Thought and Sustainable Development Goals in Bangladesh: Bridging Faith and Finance” at the 2nd International Conference on Islamic Thought (ICIT)-2026, held in Indonesia on 5 May 2026.

This remarkable achievement reflects his academic dedication, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to addressing contemporary global challenges through the lens of Islamic thought and sustainable development. His work contributes meaningfully to the growing discourse on integrating faith-based principles with modern financial and development frameworks.
