Heartiest Congratulations to Dr. Mohammad Sahabuddin on His Prestigious International Appointment!
Alhamdulillah! We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Dr. Mohammad Sahabuddin, Director, USTC Research Cell (URC), and Associate Professor, Department of Finance and Banking, University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), has been appointed as an Adjunct Professor at Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK), Malaysia, under the Economics, Governance & Accounting Research Lab of the UNIRAZAK Research Institute (URI). This distinguished appointment is a testament to his outstanding academic achievements, impactful research contributions, and unwavering dedication to advancing knowledge in the fields of Finance, Islamic Finance, FinTech, Green Finance, and Sustainable Development.
Dr. Sahabuddin has consistently demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, academic leadership, and international collaboration. His appointment not only recognizes his individual accomplishments but also brings honor to the University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC) and the academic community of Bangladesh. Alhamdulillah, we are truly honored and delighted to share that Dr. Mohammad Sahabuddin, Director of USTC Research Cell (URC) and Associate Professor, Department of Finance and Banking, University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), has been invited as a speaker at the 1st International Conference on Shariah Economics and Sustainable Development (ICSESD 2026), organized by the Association of Islamic Economics Doctoral Programs in Indonesia (APDESYI), to be held on June 24, 2026.

The conference, themed “Advancing Islamic Economics and Finance for Sustainable, Inclusive, and Digital Global Development,” will bring together distinguished scholars, researchers, and professionals from around the world to exchange knowledge and foster global academic collaboration.

We are also proud that USTC will serve as a co-organizing partner of this prestigious international conference, reflecting its growing commitment to academic excellence, internationalization, and impactful research.

I am pleased to share that our collaborative research paper, “The Adoption of E-Ticketing for Sustainable Tourism: Perceived Influence of Technological, Socio-Economic, and Administrative Factors,” has been published in Tourism and Hospitality and is now available online at the following link: https://www.mdpi.com/2673-5768/7/5/130. Many congratulations to all co-authors for their scholarly contributions. It is a Scopus-indexed journal and CiteCore 3.7

Heartiest congratulations to Shariar Hasan, a BBA Final Semester student of FBES, USTC, for successfully presenting his research paper titled “Islamic Thought and Sustainable Development Goals in Bangladesh: Bridging Faith and Finance” at the 2nd International Conference on Islamic Thought (ICIT)-2026, held in Indonesia on 5 May 2026.
