🎨✨ Art inspires. Youth lead. Communities transform.

Bright Bangladesh Forum (BBF), with the support of ActionAid Bangladesh, successfully organized a three-day "Art & Activism for Peace and Cohesion" training at the Chattogram Youth Hub.

The training equipped young leaders with practical skills to use art, theatre, music, storytelling, and digital media as powerful tools for promoting peace, social cohesion, inclusion, and positive social change. Participants also developed youth-led action plans to address local challenges through creative activism.

Together, we are empowering young people to become creative changemakers, strengthen social cohesion, and build a more peaceful, inclusive, and just Bangladesh.

💙 The future belongs to young people who dare to create, inspire, and lead.

📍 Consultation Meeting Successfully Held in Chattogram

Bright Bangladesh Forum (BBF) & BLAST successfully organized a consultation meeting on "Inclusion of Local Civil Society Organizations in Legal Aid Service Delivery" under the SUSHIL Project, in collaboration with ActionAid Bangladesh, with support from the European Union.

The session was graced by Mr. Upal Barua, Chief Executive of Bright Bangladesh Forum as the Special Guest & Chaired by Advocate Rezaul Karim, Board of Trustee of BLAST, and Mr. Subrata Das, District Legal Aid Officer & Senior Assistant Judge, Chattogram, as the Chief Guest.

The meeting brought together representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), legal professionals, and key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration for ensuring inclusive, accessible, and people-centered legal aid services.

💧 Water Justice is a Right, Not a Privilege!

Today, the voices of young people and communities came together in front of Chattogram CWASA demand safe, equitable, and uninterrupted access to clean drinking water for every citizen of Chattogram.

The Youth-Led Water Justice Movement was led by Activista Chattogram Young People, the support of Bright Bangladesh Forum (BBF) and ActionAid Bangladesh.

More than 150 young people, women, and community members participated in the movement, carrying banners, placards, and symbolic water pots to highlight the daily struggles caused by the lack of safe drinking water. A Signature Campaign was also organized, where participants endorsed a collective call for Water Justice, demonstrating strong public support for immediate action.

During the campaign, a memorandum containing community demands was submitted to Chattogram WASA, calling for:

💧 Immediate expansion of water supply lines in Bakalia, Chawkbazar, Firingibazar, Sagarika, and Patenga.
💧 Strong action against illegal occupation of WASA water lines and unauthorized water selling.
💧 Emergency safe drinking water supply through water tankers in underserved communities until permanent water connections are established.
💧 A coordinated action plan involving CWASA, Chattogram City Corporation (CCC), CDA and civil society organizations to ensure sustainable and inclusive water governance.

The memorandum was officially received by Engineer Azizur Rahman, Deputy Chief of Planning, Chattogram WASA, on behalf of the Managing Director, who assured the participants that their demands would be reviewed and necessary actions would be taken. The demands were also formally shared with Chattogram City Corporation for coordinated follow-up.

This movement is not just a protest. It is a united call for accountability, dignity, and the fundamental human right to safe water. We will continue to
stand with communities until every household in Chattogram has access to safe, affordable, and reliable drinking water.

Together, we raise our voices. Together, we demand Water Justice.

📢 Advocacy Dialogue on Preventing Gender-Based Violence and Online Harassment Held in Chattogram

Bright Bangladesh Forum (BBF), in collaboration with Activista Chattogram with support of ActionAid Bangladesh organized an Advocacy Dialogue on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Online Harassment at Chattogram Shishu Academy on 25 June 2026.

The dialogue brought together representatives from government departments, service providers, civil society organizations, journalists, and youth leaders to discuss the growing challenges of GBV and online violence against women and girls, as well as available support services and prevention strategies.

Distinguished speakers included Dr. Roksana Akter, Emergency Medical Officer of Chattogram Medical College Hospital, Tahmina Tamanna from the Department of Women Affairs, Supta Dutta from the Victim Support Center, and Kamal Chakraborty, President of the Citizen Journalist Forum. They highlighted the importance of accessible support services, survivor-centered responses, cyber safety, and collective action to combat violence.

Youth representatives actively participated in the discussion, sharing their experiences and recommendations to strengthen awareness, reporting mechanisms, referral pathways, and youth engagement in decision-making spaces.

Together, we can create a future free from violence, discrimination, and online harassment.
