𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩: 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 - 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 in University of Chittagong

The Applied Democracy Lab, University of Dhaka, is organizing workshops titled “𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞” to strengthen participants’ understanding of fundamental human rights principles and their practical application in real-life contexts.
The workshops will provide participants with an interactive learning environment to explore key human rights concepts, relevant national and international frameworks, and practical approaches to promoting, protecting, and advocating for human rights. Through discussions, group activities, and practice-oriented sessions, participants will have the opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with contemporary human rights issues.

𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬:
- Participants must be current students of the University of Chittagong
- Participants need to be part of an action project.
- Participants need to arrive on time and complete all the activities and exercises (2 Days).
- Participants will be invited to join the Young Human Rights Defenders Network (YHRDN).
- Participants will be invited to participate ADL follow up event, Summit, Summer School, Advocacy Trip, etc.
- A certificate of participation will be provided after successful participation.
- Priority will be given to students from the 2nd and 3rd year.

Please register only if you are able to confirm your attendance at the specified date, time, and venue. Your registration will be considered a commitment to participate in the workshop.

We are proud to share that our Team Lead, Connecting Dots, Machen was invited by the Peacebuilding Support Office of the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs to participate in the 3rd Civil Society Organizations–United Nations Dialogue on Peacebuilding, organized in partnership with the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) on 10–11 December at the UNOG premises in Switzerland. She served as a Briefer at the Peacebuilding Commission (PBC) expert-level meeting, where one of her recommendations received particular appreciation from PBC members.
