To sustenance the innovative and sustainable urban solutions, the ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐-๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ (๐๐๐๐), in continued collaboration with SNV and with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) Bangladesh, organized a two-day ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐-๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ๐ฌ (๐๐๐) for officials from 12 City Corporations under the Ministry of Local Government from 16โ17 May 2026.
The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of city corporation officials to identify, structure, and advance PPP initiatives for improved urban service delivery. It also introduced participants to the recently developed ๐๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ-๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐, prepared with technical support from SNV.
A total of 24 officials participated in sessions covering:
๐น Foundations of PPP and urban service delivery challenges
๐น Sectoral opportunities and institutional frameworks
๐น Project identification and risk allocation
๐น Financial and procurement fundamentals
๐น Contract management and practical case-based exercises
At the end of the training, participants received certificates and left equipped with practical knowledge and tools to help drive effective PPP initiatives in their respective cities.
By investing in local government capacity today, Bangladesh is taking another step toward more resilient, efficient, and citizen-centered urban services tomorrow.
