🔵 Boys abducted in Juba
🔵 Forced to fight in Upper Nile

Our investigations found that in , government security forces and allied groups carried out forced recruitment of boys and young men, many taken from Juba and transported to conflict zones in Upper Nile.

Based on interviews with survivors, families, and witnesses, the Commission documented how:
▪️ Youth were detained without explanation
▪️ Transferred to Malakal and other military locations
▪️ Issued weapons and forced into combat
▪️ Some were killed during operations
▪️ Others were released only after families paid ransom

Testimonies also indicate that many abducted youths were likely killed during military operations.

The evidence points to coordination at senior levels of SSPDF leadership, with involvement of allied forces and logistical support networks.

These are not isolated events. They reflect systematic violations enabled by impunity and failure to reform the security sector.

The abduction and forced recruitment of children and young men constitute grave violations of international law.
