National Children's Task Force (NCTF) is a national children's organization which has been working all 64 districts in Bangladesh Through the integrated Development Approach since 2003. The NCTF was established primarily to monitor the of the national plan Action, Adopted 2002-2006, against sexual abuse and exploitation of children including trafficking. [1] it has expanded its rule to monitor others child rights issues and rise concerns, to hold Duty bearers accountable as well as continue to create space of participation of children and decision making. It has reached all the districts of Bangladesh and has a district committee in all the districts. All this committees driected by the children’s its aim is to establish child rights in Bangladesh. Children from 12 years to 18 years are eligible to be members of NCTF. NCTF has ensured equal number of boys and grills and representation from all group of children
irrespective of their backgrounds and socio-economic context. At present, NCTF is the only nationwide children’s organization consisting of approximately 38,000+members. NCTF has been involved in initiating child-led advocacy both at local and national levels. At district Levels, NCTF members have been organizing public hearing and dialogue session with duty bearers to discuss child rights issue instill mechanism for accountability. NCTF initiated evidence based advocacy at national level to influence policies though Child Parliament. Over the years, NCTF have grained remarkable support from the government including the Bangladesh Shishu Academy (BSA), whis provides office space and support for houseing NCTF secretariat in all 64 district's. Also Save the children and Plan international give technical support to NCTF.
