𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗼𝘄: 𝗖𝗛𝗧 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 2026🌏
Across the Chattogram Hill Tracts, climate change is not abstract—it is measured in drying springs, failing crops, and rising daily burdens on structurally excluded communities. Yet these realities remain underrepresented in national and global climate decision making.
Youth Development for Sustainable Bangladesh (YDSB) is launching the Chattogram Hill Tracts Climate Declaration 2026, a first of its kind, evidence-driven initiative to systematically capture climate realities from all 26 upazillas across Bandarban, Rangamati, and Khagrachari.
This is not another consultation exercise.
This is a structured, multi-stakeholder process to convert lived experience into policy grade evidence. Through localized climate dialogues, we will:
✅Generate validated, community-owned climate data
✅ Center women and youths from marginalised communities in climate governance.
✅Three different LAP model for three District (Bandarban, Rangamati, Khagrachhari)
✅Translate ground realities into actionable priorities for NAP, NDC, and national planning.
✅Position CHT within global climate platforms, including COP processes.
Because without evidence from the ground, policy remains incomplete. And without representation, vulnerability remains invisible.
The outcome is clear: a nationally and globally relevant Climate Declaration that cannot be ignored.
This is where local truth meets policy power.
