Finding equilibrium in a fast-paced world! ⚖️✨

​On May 16, we hosted our Finding Your Balance workshop at the UWI - Global Campus, Barbados. It was an incredible day filled with vibrant energy, deep insights, and practical tools designed to help our youth navigate school, life, and mental well-being.

​This vital initiative is a core part of the MAID Project, and we are immensely grateful for the continued support of The Maria Holder Memorial Trust in making events like this possible.

​Thank you to our facilitators of Creative Arts Therapy Barbados and all the brilliant participants from the Pinelands and Haynesville Program, who showed up, engaged, and took a proactive step toward their own wellness journey. The future looks balanced and bright! 🇧🇧🌱

Preserving Caribbean Rhythms: An Interview with Master Drummer Xavier Phillips

​Following the successful completion of the intensive 8-Day Traditional Drumming Workshop (April 19–28, 2026) in Barbados, we are proud to share an insightful conversation with the workshop’s facilitator, Mr. Xavier Phillips.

​Mr. Phillips is a Master Drummer with the Malick Folk Performers, a premier cultural organization representing Trinidad and Tobago. Malick is also a foundational member of Fusion, an influential cultural network established in 1988 dedicated to artistic excellence and regional integration.

​In this interview, Mr. Phillips reflects on t​he vital role of the drum in preserving Caribbean Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and ​the cross-cultural exchange experienced between Trinidadian and Barbadian practitioners during the 8-day intensive.
