Come spend a day of Botanic Garden Education at the biodiverse Andromeda Botanic Gardens in St. Joseph, Barbados.

If you are on holiday from work or visiting the island, add this to your calendar.

Check the tour and talk times and, if not for all segments, aim to be there for at least two of them.

No admission fee but you can purchase a light lunch by Bernice Chase, aromatic teas from Anima Wildlights and the tempting pastries from the Andromeda Bakery.

See you there!

Narratives from SEB 2026, Undisciplined Ethnobotany.
Spectacular curation of the spectrum within the field. Today Wednesday June 03 sees the end of the sessions but not the end of the experience. Today wraps up workshops and field trips run tomorrow.

It has been a pleasure and honour experiencing SEB from an executive position. I want to thank the SEB business office and council for the support rendered and the organizing team from Montpellier for a grand job. I hand over the post of President to Robbie Hart, Director Missouri Botanical Gardens William L. Brown Center.

Enriching moments at Undisciplined Ethnobotany, the Congress of the Society for Ethnobotany, being held at the University of Montpellier.

This morning our keynote spoke on innovation in Agroecology by focusing on Third Spaces where interrelationships between plants, people, knowledge and systems are explored.

Such a beautiful concept but we must acknowledge that these Third Spaces do exist within our communities but they must be recognized and maybe revolutionized by collaboration. To my mind I see our third spaces under our Breadfruit trees where knowledge is offered without barriers. But who is documenting the relevance of these spaces?

Thank you Kenza Benabderrazik for a stimulating lecture.
