Led by native French teachers, this beginner-friendly course introduces you to the essentials through a fun, action-oriented approach designed to get you speaking from day one. 🗣️

We are pleased to invite you to take part in the DEFI Inter-Alliances 2026, an international competition organised by the Fondation des Alliances Françaises in collaboration with participating Alliances around the world.

This exciting challenge brings together French learners from across the global network of Alliances Françaises for a general knowledge quiz in French about France and French-speaking countries hosted on the Kahoot platform. 🌍📱

📅 Local Selection:

📍 At the Alliance Française de Bridgetown
📅 Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 5pm

Participants will answer the quiz using their smartphone on Kahoot.

A complimentary French-style goûter-apéro will be served after the quiz.

How the competition works

The competition unfolds in several stages:

1️⃣ National selection round at the Alliance Française de Bridgetown
2️⃣ Regional selection round (online) – April 15, 2026
3️⃣ Semi-final by geographical zone (online) – May 23, 2026
4️⃣ International Final in Brussels, Belgium – July 2026

The top two participants from our local round will advance to the regional selection.

Who can participate?

You are eligible if you:

Are 18 years old or older
Have a French level between A1+ and C2
Are not a native French speaker
Participation is completely free. 🎉

✈️ The prize

Winners of the semi-finals will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Belgium for one week in July 2026 to compete in the international final, all expenses paid!
