We believe that the Creative Industries, Entrepreneurship and Renewable Energy paves the way forward for a successful, sustainable Barbados. Founded in December 2011, Rock the Vote Barbados Inc. is a non-profit and non partisan organization built on a model similar to Rock The Vote USA and Rock The Vote St. It is in the process of building its team and its campaigns for the next general and future
elections in Barbados. We will become the foundation to support the wave of young people who want to get involved in elections and seize the power of the youth vote to create political and social change. Our aim is to register more young people to vote than any other organization or campaign, and we intend to register and turn out thousands. Our website will become the best-informed place online where young people can find out what they need to know before casting a ballot. Rock the Vote is not affiliated with any political party. We are controlled by nobody’s political agenda but our own – We empower young people who want to step up and make Politics count, we want all young voters to be part of the political process. Rock the Vote is dedicated to building the political awareness, power and clout of the Millennial Generation by registering and turning out young people, by forcing the candidates to campaign to them, and by making politicians pay attention to youth and the issues they care about once in office with a particular focus on the Creative Industries.
