Soroptimist International of Barbados Soroptimist International of Barbados (SIB) is a member of Soroptimist International, which is a service club for professional and executive women.

Soroptimist International of Barbados (SIB) is a member of Soroptimist International, which is a service club for women. The club encourages service to the community, fosters goodwill and friendship nationally and internationally, and has representation on United Nations agencies. SIB is involved in and coordinates many community-based projects, and also adopts projects for study and action within

the Caribbean region and internationally. At present, the Club is responsible for: The "New Horizons Project" at the Girls' Unit of the Government Industrial School; the Hildegard Weekes Activity Centre, which is located in Eden Lodge, St. Michael and caters to senior citizens who are resident at the Soroptimist Senior Citizens' Village and the wider community; a programme for school leavers at St. Ursula's School and Springer Memorial School, the Purple Teardrop Campaign which seeks to raise awareness about human trafficking, our Period Dignity project which works to enable affordable access to period products for women and girls and Sister Put Your Best Foot Forward, our career and business development programme for women. Our club welcomes anyone who is interested in becoming a member. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the club, whether about membership or otherwise.
