🌱 Every observation counts. Every action matters.

This World Environment Day, we celebrate the power of young people to drive positive environmental change. Through the Climate Change Project on Rainfall Observation (CCPRO), youth across Barbados are gaining hands-on experience in climate monitoring while developing the skills needed to become informed environmental leaders.

By connecting science, education, and community action, we are helping to build a generation that is prepared to understand and respond to the challenges of a changing climate.

Together, we can create a more resilient and sustainable future for Barbados. 🍀💚

The Barbados 4-H Foundation is proud to support the Springer Memorial School Eagles 4-H Club in their upcoming project initiation, “Come Grow With Us.” 🌱

As part of this initiative, the 4-H Foundation donated a variety of gardening and project supplies including seeds, soil mix, planting trays, pots, paint, and other essential materials to assist with the successful launch of the project.

We commend the club for promoting agriculture, creativity, and youth development within their community and wish them every success as they continue to grow and inspire. 🍀💚

His Excellency, Lieutenant Colonel The Most Honourable Jeffrey Bostic, F.B., M.V.O., paid a special President’s Day visit to Lawrence T. Gay Memorial Primary School, where he expressed his delight at seeing active 4-H members proudly wearing their uniforms and representing the organisation within the school community. 🌱💚

During the visit, His Excellency (H.E.,) also joined a 4-H member in planting a tree, symbolizing growth, leadership, and the continued development of our nation’s youth.

Representatives from the Barbados 4-H Foundation's Executive Team were also in attendance, including Mr. Thedore Fraser, National Programme Coordinator; Mr. Brandon Hewitt, Field Officer; and Ms. Faith Waithe, Programme Associate.

We are proud to see 4-H making a positive impact in our schools and communities! 🍀

A productive and successful meeting with the Minister of Agriculture, Food & Nutritional Security, Dr. The Hon. Shantal Munro-Knight and her team 🌱🤝🏽

Discussions were focused on strengthening collaboration to advance youth involvement in agribusiness and agritech. An exciting partnership is on the horizon, with plans to collaborate on initiatives designed to equip young people with innovative skills for the future of agriculture, such as an AgriTech Camp.

The Barbados 4-H Foundation looks forward to working closely with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Nutritional Security to drive meaningful impact and opportunity for our youth. 💚🍀
