Dear Members, Partners & Stakeholders,
As I conclude my tenure as Secretary-General of the Barbados Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (BANGO), I wish to express my sincere gratitude to each of you for the trust, collaboration, and support you have extended during my time in this role.

Serving BANGO has been both an honour and a privilege. Together, we have worked to strengthen the voice of civil society, promote good governance, and advance inclusive, people-centred development in Barbados. The commitment, resilience, and dedication demonstrated by our members and partners continue to affirm the vital role of NGOs in national development.

I am extremely pleased to formally introduce Ambassador, Dr. Christopher Walton, who assumed the role of Secretary-General effective January 01st 2026. He brings a wealth of experience, strong leadership, and a deep commitment to the values and mission of BANGO. I am confident that under his leadership, the Association will continue to grow, innovate, and strengthen its impact.

I encourage all members and partners to extend the same spirit of cooperation and support to the incoming Secretary-General as you have so generously given to me.

Thank you once again for the opportunity to serve. I remain a strong advocate for BANGO and look forward to supporting its continued success in new ways.

With sincere appreciation and best wishes.

Marcia Brandon
