Bajan Fire Fighters The Bajan Fire Fighters' Network is locally Registered Charity No.1133 and is comprised of firefighters and members of the public.

The Bajan Fire Fighters’ Network is a volunteer non-profit organisation (Registered Charity No: 1133) comprising local firefighters and members of the public. Our goal is to promote and conduct specific community projects that will render humanitarian assistance to those in need. This is achieved by planning and executing strategic projects or by working collectively with other charitable organisations with similar objectives. The Bajan Fire Fighters' Network also seeks to establish partnerships with community organisations, corporate entities and government agencies. It is our goal to encourage interested persons with a desire to assist others by volunteering your time, physical resources or offering financial support to help those in need. The specific objectives of the charity are as follows:

a) The relief of distress caused by natural disasters or sudden catastrophes;
b) The provision of social welfare services for those in need of them;
c) The establishment in life of young people;
d) The promotion and encouragement of projects for community development;
e) The provision of public work for the benefit of the community and the protection of the lives and property of the community;
f) The maintenance and improvement of the efficiency of the Fire Service; and
g) Any purpose within the spirit of, and analogous to the foregoing.

A lithium-ion battery may appear completely dead, but it can still contain stored energy.
When damaged, crushed, punctured or improperly disposed of, batteries can short-circuit and ignite.
That creates a serious risk not only in your home, but also during waste collection and disposal.

❌ Throw loose lithium-ion batteries into ordinary household rubbish.
❌ Put damaged batteries where they can be crushed or punctured.

A battery that is becoming dangerous may show signs such as:
⚠️ Swelling or bulging
⚠️ Unusual heat during normal use or charging
⚠️ Strange odours
⚠️ Hissing, popping or cracking sounds
⚠️ Discolouration or leakage
⚠️ Smoke or vapour
⚠️ A noticeable reduction or unusual change in performance
DON'T IGNORE THE WARNING SIGNS.
If a battery becomes unusually hot, swollen, damaged or starts producing smoke or unusual odours:
🚫 Stop using it.
🚫 Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
