Today, June 1st, marks the official start of the Atlantic Hurricane Season. Several members of the Rehabilitating and Enabling Society for Amputees (RESA) benefitted on Saturday evening from a Barbados Building Identifier (BBID) awareness workshop tailored for persons with disabilities.

The workshop was held at the Barbados Council for the Disabled, Harambee House, The Garrison and focused on promoting the use of the BBID as a critical tool when reporting emergencies, enabling responders to quickly and accurately identify building locations.

Our charity remains committed to inclusivity and building resilience and preparedness within vulnerable communities.

The Infant Department of the Schoolhouse for Special Needs enjoyed an exciting tour of the Emergency Services Complex, The Pine, St. Michael. The familiarisation tour was part of their commitment to hands-on learning.

Students explored the world of fire safety, emergency response, and the vital role of the Barbados Fire Service in protecting our community. 🧑‍🚒🔥 It was an educational, fun-filled experience, and the little learners had an amazing time while discovering so much along the way!
