Need help filing your Beneficial Ownership information? We’re making the process easier for small business owners! 📋

The Small Business Association of Barbados, in collaboration with the Business Division of the Ministry of Energy & Business, is hosting a Beneficial Ownership Filing Clinic to help eligible businesses complete their filings with in-person assistance.

If you’ve been unsure about the process or need help getting your documents in order, this is your opportunity to get support.

Wednesday, October 21, 2026
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
SBA Secretariat, Suite 101, Building 4, Harbour Industrial Estate, Bridgetown.

What you’ll need to bring:

* Valid Barbados ID
* Proof of address dated within the last 3 months
* TAMIS numbers for the beneficial owner(s) and the business
* Relevant corporate documents to identify the beneficial owners

Who is eligible?
This clinic is for companies earning less than BBD $1 million in annual gross income that are not using a Corporate Trust and Service Provider.

Filing fee: BBD $150, payable by card or cheque only. Cash will not be accepted.

If your business needs assistance with its filing, come prepared with your documents and take advantage of the support available.

It’s been a week since Small Business Week 2026 came to a close, and we’re still reflecting on everything we shared, learned and celebrated.

From our opening Church Service to the Regional Marketplace, Youth Forum, Leo Leacock Memorial Lecture, and our Awards Ceremony & Dinner, thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Small Business Week possible.

To our speakers, partners, sponsors, members, entrepreneurs, volunteers, event hosts, attendees and everyone who showed up and joined the conversation, we appreciate you.

But Beyond Borders: Positioning Small Business for the Global Economy doesn’t end with Small Business Week.

There’s still so much to unpack, explore and build on and we’ll be continuing the conversation throughout the year.

Our XII Leo Leacock Memorial Lecture brought this year’s theme, Beyond Borders: Positioning Small Business for the Global Economy, to life as we welcomed The Honourable Mia Amor Mottley, SC, MP, Prime Minister of Barbados, to share her perspective on what’s ahead for Barbados and our small businesses.

From the opportunities beyond our shores to what it will take for our businesses to be ready to seize them, the conversation gave us plenty to think about.

Young people are a big part of what comes next for Barbados’ small business landscape.

At our Small Business Week Youth Forum, we brought young people into the conversation, exploring what it could look like to build a future that reaches Beyond Borders.

The forum was a reminder that the next generation shouldn’t just be preparing for the future of business, they should have a voice in shaping it.

On Sunday, we gathered in gratitude and prayer as we officially opened Small Business Week 2026.

Our Church Service was a meaningful way to begin a week centred on the people who continue to build, create, employ and contribute to our economy.

As we look Beyond Borders: Positioning Small Business for the Global Economy, we’re reminded that every journey starts somewhere and ours starts with the people and communities that make small business possible.

A special thank you to Jerusalem Apostolic Spiritual Baptist Cathedral for welcoming us and allowing us to begin the week in such a meaningful way.
