Just wanted to extend thanks and appreciation to Senior Pastor Everton Graves and the congregation of the Bridge Teaching and Worship Ministries Church, for hosting the volunteers for our sixth Annual DEO Church Service. With the start of the Hurricane Season 2026 weeks away, God's protection is always necessary.
Special thanks to Mr. Brian Murray for his detailed hurricane preparedness presentation, and to the many volunteers , residents and friends from across the different zones. Stay tuned for our next stop!

Here is a look at the given names for the Atlantic's Hurricane Season 2026:
Arthur, Bertha, Cristobal, Dolly, Edouard, Fay, Gonzalo, Hanna, Isaias, Josephine, Kyle, Leah, Marco, Nana, Omar, Paulette, Rene, Sally, Teddy, and Vicky.
● These identifiers are assigned by the WMO once a tropical storm reaches sustained winds of 39 mph. If a specific storm becomes particularly deadly or costly, its name may be retired from future use and replaced.

On the move again!
The St. Michael North West District Emergency Organization (DEO), is extremely greatful for this morning's opportunity to lead a tour of Pile Bay, as Professor David Yawson of the UWI-CERMES, and students continue to gather information for their projects, leading a course in "Land Use and Environmental Resilience", that centralizes land use as the hub around which resilience can be organized and analyzed. To better help the students understand issues of vulnerability and disaster risks (or hazards).

The St. Michael North West District Emergency Organization, held it's fifth Tsunami Ready Awareness, Coastal Community Engagement meeting last evening. Special thanks are extended to the presenters, Director Dr. Leo Brewster, of CZMU, Consultant Mr. Selwyn Brooks, of DEM, Deputy Director Mr. Brian Murray, of Barbados Met Services, the volunteers, residents, and all persons who came and brought support to a successful evening.
