During National Disabilities Awareness Month, our hearts were full as we visited the Irving Wilson School.

Through our breakfast programme, we have the privilege of sharing a nourishing start to each school day with some truly incredible students because every child deserves the fuel to learn, grow, and shine.

We were especially grateful to be joined by The C.O.B L.I.F.T Foundation’s () Programme Manager, Mrs. Kathy-Ann Scott-Blades, who spoke about the joy and fulfillment that comes from working with children, and the importance of initiatives like this in creating meaningful impact.

Moments like these remind us that it’s not just about providing meals, it’s about building connections, creating safe spaces, and showing up with purpose.

And this is just the beginning… we have even more exciting projects in store with the Irving Wilson School, and we can’t wait to share what’s next ✨

🙌Thank you C.O.B L.I.F.T Foundation, for your contribution!

We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible support of the COB L.I.F.T Foundation () in helping us provide nutritious breakfasts to the amazing students of the Irving Wilson School through The Deaf Heart Project.

A healthy breakfast is more than just a meal; it’s the foundation for a successful day. It fuels focus, supports learning, and ensures that every student has the energy they need to fully engage, participate, and thrive in the classroom.

What makes this initiative even more special is the heart behind it. One of the community champions, Mrs. Waveney Reid-Davis, along with her dedicated team, has been entrusted with preparing these meals. Their care, commitment, and passion are helping to nourish not just bodies, but confidence, dignity, and opportunity for every child we serve.

Together, we are creating brighter mornings and stronger futures, one breakfast at a time. 💚

🎧 During our recent Hearing Screening, we pulled aside one of the participants to hear firsthand what her experience was like!

From the excitement of testing their hearing for the first time to learning how important it is to know your hearing status, every story reminds us why early detection and awareness matters. 💙👂

Meet Michael, a medical student from Ross University who knows firsthand what it’s like to face hearing challenges. 👂💙
Today, he’s giving back by volunteering at our annual hearing screening to help others on their journey to better hearing.
Stories like Michael’s remind us that empathy and experience make the best advocates. 🌍✨

A CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) is often the bridge between the Deaf and hearing worlds, playing a vital role in communication, advocacy, and support for their parents. During Deaf Awareness Month, we honour CODAs for their resilience, love, and the unique way they help amplify Deaf voices while shaping stronger, more inclusive communities. 🤟💙

This Deaf Awareness Month, we honour and celebrate the incredible contributions, achievements, and resilience of Deaf persons in our communities. ✨

Deaf culture and sign language are vital parts of our shared human story. As we celebrate, we also call for the recognition and protection of sign language rights—because true inclusion begins with communication. ✋🤟

Looking ahead to the International Week of the Deaf, we’ll be sharing stories, challenges, and activities that our team is undertaking throughout the month. Join us as we celebrate and amplify Deaf voices.
