The only one of its kind on the island, Jabez House, (founded in 2012) reaches out to female s*x workers, facilitating their transition from s*x work via access to alternative economic empowerment opportunities. The organization offers courses free of cost to participants in areas like Nail Technology, Hairdressing, Business Development, among others. To date, the organization has reached out to a
pproximately 500 s*x workers, with scores being able to exit the trade and be self-sufficient with alternative income generation avenues. Jabez House provides psycho-social support, food assistance, clothing, s*xual and reproductive health services and in some cases housing to clients. The charity's work is recognized nationally and internationally. It has also been lauded by the UNFPA, the IDB, One Young World and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11.
