As we approach our 10th season, here's another alumni flashback to 2016 and composer, Qiren Lu, who is now a PhD candidate at the University of California Los Angeles:
"My memories of Talis are still very vivid. I remember the beautiful surroundings, the friends I met there, and the wonderful performances by the faculty and guest musicians. I also have very fond memories of Professor Aguila’s (Miguel del Aguila) detailed and inspiring teaching, as well as the intense yet fun days of composing and working on our pieces together.
Even though it has already been ten years, I still miss Talis very much and feel that it was a truly important and formative experience for me."
