Through the BMAP Forward Rolling Innovation Grant, Andrijana Pisarević from Poslovni portal Capital.ba in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in collaboration with other members of the Fembase cohort of women journalists, conducted an experiment to test gender biases in various large language models (LLMs) using local Western Balkan languages. When asked whether a female journalist could report on "Formula 1" compared to her male colleague, strikingly different answers were uncovered —revealing the hidden biases in technology. The project culminated in a research paper, paving the way for more Capital's eye-opening stories on this subject in the future.

"What do you mean unpaid work? You mean everyday life," replied M. B. from Bar, a mother of four without pension rights, when asked what her day of unpaid work looks like.

Women in Montenegro spend 8 to 12 years engaged in household chores. Pešić, a member of the Fembase cohort of women journalists, and Dragana Scepanovic, both journalists from Vijesti, explored the perspectives of women from both rural and urban areas on unpaid labor.
