That’s a wrap on the Graffiti ABC training course as part of Creative Canvas project 🎨✨

Over an intensive 6 days, our very own Rijad and Draško led an incredible group of 20 young people, youth workers, and educators from our partner organizations through a powerful journey of art and activism.
Together, we put our newly developed Graffiti ABC Guidebook to the test, exploring how creative, non-formal education can become a shield against gender-based discrimination, bullying, cyberbullying, and hate speech. Seeing the participants transform these complex social issues into practical skills for public campaigns and grassroots activism was deeply inspiring.
Huge thanks to all the participants who brought their energy, passion, and vision to the table. 🚀

Youth Centre Perspektiva from Albania together with its partners Hate Fighters Network (HFN) from Serbia, Beyond Borders from Italy and Obojena Klapa from Bosnia and Herzegovina implements a capacity building project “Creative Canvas” to tackle issues of discrimination, hate speech, cyberviolence and gender-based discrimination and violence through creative tools and methods in work with young people. The main aim of the project is separated in two dimensions: a) identifying, consolidating and promoting existing best practices of using art as a tool for activism; and b) creating and enabling an environment to develop new approaches to countering, preventing and fighting cyberbullying, hate speech, discrimination and gender-based violence. Creative Canvas project will be implemented from November 2025 to October 2027, with activities in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy and Serbia. Creative Canvas project is co-financed by the European Union.

Our team was proud to participate in a vibrant mural event in Italy under the "HERstory" project, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. 🇪🇺

Connected to a lively Maria Montessori Art Festival, the event gathered artists and organisations from across Europe to celebrate women’s stories through bold public art, cultural exchange, and collaborative creativity. Together, we discovered how murals can become powerful tools for education, empowerment, and social impact, creating not only artwork, but also unforgettable connections, inspiring dialogue, and lasting European cooperation. ✨

About the project:

Beyond Borders from Italy, together with Club for Youth Empowerment 018 from Serbia, Dream Colours from Czech Republic, Obojena Klapa from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Danish Youth Team from Denmark implements the project “HERstory” by utilizing creative methods and art, specifically murals in raising awareness and visibility of significant female figures thus promoting importance of gender equality in partner countries.

Overall aim: To increase visibility of women through art. Specific objectives:

1. To develop tools for promotion of historical female figures coming from participating countries in the form of collection;

2. To develop a virtual platform for promotion of female figures coming from participating countries;

3. To raise the awareness about important female figures coming from 5 countries through artistic expression – murals;

4. To network mural artists on the European level.

This project offers concrete tools and methods to contribute to raised awareness and bigger visibility of women who shaped societies which we know today.

📅 Project is implemented in Italy, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic and Denmark in the period 01.11.2024 to 31.10.2026 and is co-financed by the EU.

Memory Blocks je stigao u Sarajevo! 🧩
