Udruzenje zena Rudarka (Women Association Rudarka) "Rudarka", Women Association from Ljubija Rudarka Association gathers 46 women from LJubija, a small town 12 km from Prijedor that is famous for its iron mine.

The mine is closed since many years and thousands of people who worked in it remained without job for almost 20 years. Additionally, since the Ljubija is on the inter-ethnic border between Republic of Srpska and Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina it became the place where hundreds of refugees from all over Republic of Srpska found refuge or were simply sent here by the Government about ten years

after the war in the so called process of the "dismantling of the refugee camps". LJubija has therefore became the place in Rep. of Srpska with the highest number of so called Alternative centres which differ from the Refugee centres for the fact the state is no longer obliged to take care of its users.
