The Jewish Cultural Centre “Arie Livne” is a cultural institution founded on September 2, 2014, with the aim of promoting the ideas of peace, humanism and social justice. The first establishment of this type built in the Balkans since the end of the World War II, it is, as stated by the president of the centre Arie Livne, the first place where the Jewish life is being rebuilt. Along with preserving the cultural tradition of the Jewish people, the goal of the founder of the JCC is also to gather intellectual elite and artists from the region and beyond regardless of their nationality and religion. The synagogue “Ilona Vajs” was named after the mother of the president of the centre Arie Livne, who was killed by the N***s in the Auschwitz concentration camp. The first Jewish religious institution built in the Balkans after seven decades, it is a place where the Jews can dedicate themselves to praying and studying the holy scripts. It is also open for visitors. The hotel is categorized as a three-star accommodation, which means that it offers the guests comfort and other conveniences.
