International conference titled “Right of Return and Self-Determination: Double Standards and Selective Approaches.” has kicked off at the Congress building (Capitol Hill), Washington DC, USA.

The conference brings together experts specializing in the protection of the rights of refugees and national minorities, representatives of pro-independence movements from Dutch colonial territories, members of Sikh comunities, human rights defenders, specialists in international law, representatives of diaspora organizations whose communities have been subjected to ethnically motivated violence, discrimination, and persecution, as well as representatives of civil society institutions and affected communities.
