Fundacion Muchila Creativo Celebrates 23 Years of Creative Growth in Aruba
April 9, 2026
Today marks a remarkable milestone for Fundacion Muchila Creativo: 23 years of dedication to arts, culture, and inclusive education within the Aruban community. Since its founding in 2003, the foundation has carried a clear mission: to stimulate creativity through music, visual arts, dance, theater, literature, and multimedia — accessible to people of all ages.
A Foundation Built on Three Pillars
Over the years, Muchila Creativo has grown into a dynamic organization grounded in three strong pillars: educational, socio-cultural, and therapeutic.
1. Educational Pillar
For more than two decades, the foundation has developed educational projects that connect artistic expression with learning.
In 2020, Muchila Creativo took an important step with the establishment of a VSO program (Special Secondary Education) for neurodiverse youth ages 12 to 28.
Within this program, the arts run as a continuous thread through the curriculum, allowing students to discover, develop, and showcase their talents in a safe and creative environment.
2. Socio-Cultural Pillar
Muchila Creativo remains an active force in Aruba’s cultural landscape. The foundation organizes courses, workshops, and community projects that bring people of all ages together.
Currently, the organization is working on the inspiring Let’s Act project, through which the documentary What Remains of Us is being developed — an artistic and social initiative that centers the voices of young people and highlights the power of collective creation.
3. Therapeutic Pillar
Within this pillar, Muchila Creativo uses art as a tool for well-being, emotional processing, and personal growth. The foundation develops art therapy projects that support participants in strengthening their resilience and self-expression.
A Future Filled with Creativity and community
Fundacion Muchila Creativo proudly reflects on 23 years of growth, innovation, and collaboration. At the same time, the foundation looks ahead with hope and determination — committed to continuing to develop projects that enrich, connect, and inspire the Aruban community for many years to come.
The foundation is located at Caya Betico Croes 83 in Oranjestad, in the Violet Center for the Arts — a vibrant space where creativity comes to life every day.
