Clem's Shed

Clem's Shed Open Tuesday 0830 am to 1230 pm and Thursday0830 am to 1230 pm or by appointment.

Clem’s Shed at Yorketown helps men, particularly as they get older, to connect with each other preventing social isolation and preventable health conditions, whilst supporting men’s physical and mental health and wellbeing. We provide a sense of community, a safe and friendly environment where men can work on meaningful projects at their own pace, in their own time, in the company of other men. Me

mbers have an opportunity to pass their skills to others, learn new things, or just catch up regularly with other men in the community for a chat and a cup of tea. Shed Activities include Wood work, metal work, community gardening and maintenance on community projects

🌟 Exciting Times at Clem's Shed! 🌟

It’s been a busy start to the year, and we’ve been hard at work on a range of projects! From planter boxes to verandah post decorations, a meatsafe/cupboard, Jack and Jills, and even a lectern/reading stand there’s always something happening at Clem’s Shed!

We also have a set of handmade outside chairs with a matching table, crafted by our talented member Ian, available for just $350 a total bargain! Don’t miss out!
Plus, we’ve got bags of kindling available for sale to help you get through winter. 🔥

🚧 Big News: Our new shed is officially ordered, and the planning is in full swing! This will be a huge boost to our community once it’s built, allowing us to take on even more projects and continue supporting each other.

🚪 New Kitchen Alert: A huge THANK YOU to Gary Murdoch for his incredibly generous donation of the kitchen cupboards and appliances! It’s already being put to good use, and we couldn’t be more grateful. This is making a huge difference for all our members and the projects we’re working on.

We’re seeing lots of members coming together, and there’s a real buzz around the place. So much is happening, and even more exciting things are on the way!

💙 Donations Welcome: We’re still looking for donations to help with future projects and fitting out the new shed. Every little bit makes a difference, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has contributed so far.

Stay tuned for more updates and feel free to drop by to see all the action for yourself!

The Men’s Table is a safe place to share and be heard in a confidential and non-judgemental environment, creating a greater sense of belonging, camaraderie and connection.

New Men’s Group on the Yorke Peninsula
For men looking for a monthly catch-up, a Men’s Table is launching in Minlaton on Monday the 1 June.
A Men’s Table is a small, consistent group of 8 to 12 men who meet at the same venue each month. It is the same men around the table each time, which helps build trust, connection and real conversation over time.
The group talks openly about life, the highs, the lows and everything in between, and has other men genuinely listen. It is about going beyond banter and sharing what is really going on. There is no agenda, no pressure and no membership fee. Men simply pay for their own meal and enjoy a safe and relaxed setting. Men of all ages (18+), professions and backgrounds are welcome.
The introductory dinner will be held at Caffe Primo Minlaton. For more information and to register, visit https://events.humanitix.com/yorke-peninsula-entree
Registration includes your dinner. Spots are limited, so bookings are essential.
If you would like to know more, visit www.themenstable.org or call Ben on 0492 974 860.

Clem’s Shed has been buzzing with Christmas spirit this month! Have you spotted the wooden Christmas trees brightening up Yorketown? They’re another heart-warming community project crafted with pride by our team.

We’re also delighted to see the Jack and Jill chairs we made for the Coobowie Caravan Park already being enjoyed, nothing makes us happier than seeing our creations bringing comfort and cheer.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a joyful festive season! From everyone at the Shed, thank you for your support throughout the year. We’ll be back in the New Year with even more exciting projects!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting the Black Dog Ride crew for lunch at The Shed.
A lovely group of people led by Craig Goodman stopped by as part of their journey to raise awareness for mental health. The ride, running from October 18th to 24th, spans from Mount Gambier to Berri, with a welcome dinner held at the Federal Hotel in Mount Gambier on the 18th.

We’re proud to support such an important cause and grateful to Craig and the team for making us a part of their journey. Keep riding and keep making noise for mental health!
