📣 Something new in the Main Street of Yorketown…

Lights At The Lake is drawing closer and we’re getting excited! There’s still time to donate funds or lights towards this event. We’ll be holding a trading table next Thursday 8th October to support this fantastic new community event.

It’s shaping up to be a wonderful weekend for the SYP on the 21st November!
🌊 A Day at the Burgh from midday at Edithburgh
💡 Lights at the Lake from 5pm at Yorketown

Yorketown CFS are holding a come and see day on the 28th of October at 7pm, this is to come and see what we do at the station, look at the equipment and enjoy a sausage sizzle. Feel free to come and ask any questions!!

Wow, how incredible is our community!
We are so fortunate and truly blessed to have received so many generous donations. We can’t thank everyone enough for their kindness and support.
It really shows what an amazing community we live in, and we truly appreciate every contribution.

🕵🏻‍♀️ We have a mystery we need help solving.

Our Sort & Save Shed First Aid Kit has gone missing, along with some extra packets of bandaids taken from the shed over the weekend.

We’d love to think it has simply gone on an unexpected adventure… but our volunteers really need it back! The kit is there to help keep our volunteers safe, so if you know where it is, or perhaps “borrowed” it and forgot to return it, please bring it back to the shed. No questions asked.

Let’s get this little mystery solved and our bandaids back where they belong! If you have any information about where the First Aid Kit might be, please get in touch with us.

Pop Up Cafe at Yorketown Progress Hall tomorrow!
Monday Aug 24, 10.30am-12.30pm

Some lovely young people would like to have a go at improving their work ready skills in the kitchen and serving customers - and we would love you to come along.

Our cafe menu includes delicious toasties, croissants, savoury quiches, soup & bread, as well as sweet treats like biscuits, cakes, bliss balls, milkshakes, hot drinks and more.

Everything on the menu will be $1 - $4 and we would really like to practise giving change so cash is best please.

All of the cafe proceeds will be donated to Yorketown Progress Association for their Lights at the Lake community event held later in the year - please come down tomorrow and support our local young ones, and our local Progress Association ✨

Yorketown Progress will be holding a trading table this Thursday, 20th, from 9am–12pm** in front of the **Yorke Hotel**.

New faces always warmly welcomed! With the Yorketown Skate Park Construction and inaugural Lights at the Lake event coming up now is a great time to join the committee and contribute to our town 🤗
