What a wonderful night at our social night, where were joined by past and present volunteers to celebrate presentation of our volunteer service awards, and to reflect on the fire which destroyed our sub centre 10 years ago.

Congratulations to Mandy Penno on receiving your 10 year service medal. What a fantastic achievement!

Congratulations also go to Jase, Linda Ford and Christie Wight on receiving your 5 year service ribbons.

We are so lucky to have all of you at the York sub centre.

On the 20th of August 2016, a fire engulfed our sub centre, destroying the garage and 2 ambulances. Lorna Saunders shared our experiences of the fire, thanked everyone who came together to support our sub centre while we were displaced, and also thanked those who helped in the design and build of the magnificent sub centre we have today.

Local retired St John paramedic, Pat Tindal-Davies also joined us to share early career experiences as one of the first 2-man ambulance crews in Perth in the 1970s. Pat's officer number is 38. For reference, newer numbers are up in the 70000s 🤯

Thank you to all of our wonderful team who pulled the night together, we look forward to the next one! ā¤ļø
