💥 Livingstone Youth Action Group | Neon Blitz - Battle of the Lightz💥
Last term, the Livingstone Youth Action Group (YAG) turned young people’s ideas into action by planning and delivering Neon Blitz - Battle of the Lightz, a free youth indoor laser tag event focused on connection, inclusion and fun!
The event welcomed approximately 80 young people, providing an opportunity to connect with others, build friendships and enjoy an affordable recreational activity in a safe, inclusive environment.
The initiative was shaped by young people’s feedback, with priorities including creating safe spaces, strengthening social connections and increasing access to local activities. YAG members developed valuable skills in event planning, budgeting and seeking sponsorships. On the day, they put these skills into practice through customer service, game technology, maintaining and running the gaming areas, snack bar and overall event - building teamwork, confidence and real world experience along the way.
A big thank you to Billy & Bay Events for their generous donation and sponsorship of the balloon photo backdrop, helping make the event extra special 🎈
We’re proud to see local young people having their voices heard, taking the lead and making a positive difference in their community 💙
