On the 25th of April 2026. 132 Army Cadet Unit was proudly involved with the Yeppoon and Emu Park Anzac Day service. On the week leading up to the event, lots of practise and preparation went into the Cadet’s amazing performance at Anzac Day. Their commitment was shown through every precise movement and every step during the march.
The unit approached the day with a strong sense of respect, formality, and responsibility, understanding the significance of Anzac Day throughout the nation and community. Their routine most definitely reflected their training and the massive respect they have for the soldiers on Anzac Day.
From the early wake-up of the dawn service to the commemorative march, our unit demonstrated discipline and professionalism. Their efforts contributed to a monumental and significant Anzac Day for all who attended, strengthening the importance of remembrance and continuing the spirit of the Anzacs.
Lest We Forget.

On the weekend, the 132nd Yeppoon Australian Army cadet unit joined together with units from Blackwater, Gladstone, and Mackay for their battalion Bivouac at Seeonee Park.
The units were divided into two platoons, a recruit platoon and a second-year platoon. Each platoon conducted different activities, such as bridge building and movements by day and night. These movements included crawling competitions focusing on the skills to adapt to the bush environment without being seen and heard.
The cadets said the Biv was fun and that they would go again.
We look forward to future Bivs and we thank the other units for travelling to Seeonee park to make this Biv happen!
It was great meeting new people and making new friends! 😀

On the 14-15th of March, recruits took part in a training weekend, and we thank those cadets who volunteered their time. The recruits got their uniforms and experienced PT for the first time. They had fun participating in drill and learning the basics for their first parade on Wednesday. The recruits said it was a lot of writing, but they loved it! 😆
On Wednesday, the recruits also took part in their first parade night, learning proper drill and lessons. They participated in Parade and had a lot of fun.

On Wednesday, the 11th of March, the 132 Army cadet unit had the amazing opportunity to welcome our new recruits for their first night of training. It was great to see familiar faces from the open day as well as some new ones! Our cadets welcomed them all, and they had a great time teaching the new recruits drill and giving them the opportunity to watch the unit parade in real time.
We thank all our unit members for showing our new recruits how the Australian Army Cadets work and the dedication it takes to make our unit proud. Thank you to those that participated, and we hope to see you this weekend at our training day!
Congratulations also go to staff member Second Lieutenant Isaac Auld for his recent promotion. We look forward to his assistance at the unit. 👏
