In the Spotlight
RACQ Features Our 70th Anniversary!

We are thrilled to be featured in the Winter edition of RACQ’s The Road Ahead magazine (pages 60 and 61)!

The article, "Delivering ‘more than just a meal’ for 70 years," highlights our incredible journey from a single Ipswich backyard to a statewide network powered by 6,300+ amazing volunteers. As our CEO, Evan Hill, shared in the feature, our service is about so much more than food; it’s about that vital daily welfare check and peace of mind for families.

With rising cost-of-living pressures, this care is more critical than ever.

Celebrating Our Incredible Volunteers! ❤️
Yeppoon Meals on Wheels celebrated National Volunteer Week on May 21st at The Pacific Hotel, honoring the dedicated volunteers who give so much to our local community. From meal prep and delivery to a simple, friendly chat, their care creates real connections and brighter days for so many.
We were incredibly honored to have Queensland Meals on Wheels Senior Area Manager, Rachael Speechley, join us for the occasion. It was a wonderful surprise for many of our long-time volunteers as Rachael presented certificates and MOW badges to those marking incredible milestones—ranging from 5 to 45 years of service! We were also thrilled to recognize all of our wonderful volunteers who have been with us for over 12 months.
What an incredible milestone! It is genuinely heartwarming to see such profound dedication, especially from Ruth Bosomworth with her 45 years of service, and David & Patty Dawes with their 30 years. That is a staggering amount of community care and literal generations of delivered smiles
A massive shout-out and a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you. We couldn't do it without you!

Exciting news was recently received by the staff and volunteers of Yeppoon Meals on Wheels.

We were grateful recipients of a grant made possible by, the Livingstone Shire Council and Bendigo Community Bank, Community Grants Scheme.

The grant enabled us to purchase a laptop computer from a local business.

This computer will be used to not only assist the staff with daily activities, but also to provide our enthusiastic volunteers with their ongoing training requirements.

A big thank you is extended to Bendigo Community Bank and our Local Council, for giving back to our community and assisting local not for profit organisations.

Pictured are representatives from Bendigo Community Bank, Mayor Adam Belot, Councillor Andrea Friend along with Heather, Christine and Michele from Yeppoon Meals on Wheels.
