🌈 What an EPIC afternoon👏 🌈
Colour, laughter and pure joy everywhere 🙃🤩💛💚💙💜❤️

The P&C + our amazing volunteers were out there cheering 🎉, dancing💃, tossing colour 🌈, sliming teachers 🤣🫠 and helping with set‑up/pack‑down 🛠. Days like this show just how powerful it is when parents, carers and staff jump in together and bring the energy ⚡️

A massive shout out to the incredible Yeppoon State School staff, Y6 students, administration team and Mrs Bloomfield for organising such an amazing event. 🙌 We loved being part of the helping crew🌟🌈

And to every parent and carer who stepped in to help… you legends 🏆

🚀 The 2026 P&C is officially underway 💙

Our P&C Executive Team met over the weekend and the handover process is now underway. Even though we’re already halfway through the year, there are lots of exciting things happening and we'd love you to be part of it. ✨️

Whether you’re brand new, returning, or rejoining after a little break, you are so welcome 🤩

You probably see “P&C” pop up a lot, hear it mentioned at school, or spot it on Facebook… but what does it really mean 🤔

Well.... it’s simple
It’s us!!! 🙌💛

Parents, carers, staff and community members volunteering their time and teaming up to make Yeppoon SS even better for our kids 👏✨

The P&C is the school community’s voice, support crew, and idea‑makers 💡 people who pitch in, share ideas, roll up their sleeves and work alongside the school to make good things happen 💙🏫

And… our final intro of your 2026 P&C Office Bearers🎉

Say hello to Tash, bringing her enthusiasm, fresh ideas, and big heart to the Treasurer role this year. We're so lucky to have her on the Executive Team and can't wait to see the contribution she'll make to our school community this year. 💛✨

❓ What’s your name and your role in the P&C?
Hii!!! I'm Tash and I'm the 2026 Treasurer of the P&C ✨

❓ Why did you join the P&C?
I joined to get more involved and support the school and students in a meaningful way.
I wanted to try something new and I'm excited to learn the ropes and work with a great team! 😁💛

❓ What’s your favourite part about being involved with the school community?
Seeing the difference we make to our kids’ school experience — both in the classroom and through all the events and activities.
And I love being able to work with an amazing team of P&C Executives! ✨🤗

❓ What’s one fun fact about you?
We have our own personal Funny Farm 🤣
We have 23 big goats, 5 mini cows, 13 giant chickens, and 9 mini ducks… and at least 10 of them are pregnant 🫣🐐🐄🐓🦆

❓ What do you hope to achieve with the P&C this year?
This year as Treasurer, I want to learn the ropes and become confident in the role.
I want to keep everything clear and tidy so our fundraising efforts are maximised and go straight back into making our kids’ school experience the best it can be 💛📣

Next up… a familiar face we’re so happy to welcome back! Let us re introduce Ashleigh, who continues to support our school in the Executive after serving as President last year. Her experience, kindness, and genuine heart for our school community make such a difference 💛✨ and her ongoing involvement brings wonderful continuity to the team.

❓ What’s your name and your role in the P&C?
I’m Ashleigh, and I’m the Secretary of the P&C. After serving as President last year, I’m excited to continue supporting the committee and our school community in a new role ✨

❓ Why did you join the P&C?
Honestly, I can’t help myself when it comes to getting involved and finding ways to make things better! I love being busy, connecting with people, and contributing to initiatives that make a positive difference for our children and school community 💛

❓ What’s your favourite part about being involved with the school community?
Seeing the impact that a group of dedicated parents can have on our children’s school experience. It’s incredibly rewarding knowing that the time and effort we put in helps create opportunities, experiences, and memories for all of our kids ✨🤗

❓ What’s one fun fact about you?
I’m the seventh generation in my family to have twins! Apparently it runs very strongly in the family… much to my husband’s dismay 😂👶👶

❓ What do you hope to achieve with the P&C this year?
I hope to continue supporting initiatives that benefit our students, strengthen the connection between families and the school, and help make the P&C a welcoming and positive group that parents feel encouraged to be part of 💬💛

❓ What’s your coffee order?
A vanilla latte on oat milk. It’s responsible for powering most of my good ideas and keeping up with my unnecessarily busy schedule ☕⚡

I’m Emily and I’m your 2026 Veep (Vice President) ✨

❓ Why did you join the P&C?
When you’re already overscheduled and busy, it’s always a great time to join a committee! 🤪 JK! I love working as part of a team that cares about the students of YSS. 💛

❓ What’s your favourite part about being involved with the school community?
My favourite part of being involved is knowing the difference we make when we work together to make the kids at YSS smile and enjoy their school experience 💖🙏🏽

❓ What’s one fun fact about you?
A fun fact about me is that I can read three books at once! 📚🤓

❓ What do you hope to achieve with the P&C this year?
I would like to see the P&C deliver some key business and fundraising goals, and increase our general membership and engagement 🗣️ I will find you and I will talk your ear off about P&C!!

Sooooo as you may have seen, the new P&C Executive was appointed at a special meeting on 26 May… and it’s about time you get to meet the faces behind the names! 😄✨

Starting with Carlyn, your P&C President 👋💛

❓ Why did you join the P&C?
I want to help grow our membership and show families how rewarding it can be to get involved.💙 Even small contributions make a big difference (you don’t have to sign your life away!). I love the idea of helping parents feel more connected to what’s happening at school. I also want to show that the P&C shouldn’t be viewed as a chore. It’s fun, social, and you get to be part of the exciting side of school life. 🎉🏫

❓ What’s your favourite part about being involved with the school community?
I’m a people person, so my favourite part is building relationships... chatting, connecting, laughing, and building that “we’re all in this together” vibe.🤝😄Strong relationships are the heart of any school and I love creating spaces where people feel welcome, included, and excited to be involved. ✨💛I want to keep making sure the P&C feels open, friendly, and easy to be part of 💬🌟

❓ What’s one fun fact about you?
I’m a Yeppoon State School alum 🎓 I graduated Grade 7 in 2000, the year Graduation (Friends Forever) by Vitamin C came out. 🎶😭 Still a core memory dancing (and crying) under H Block during graduation 💃🧡

❓ What do you hope to achieve with the P&C this year?
I want to keep building strong communication and connection across families, staff, and students so our school community feels informed, included, and confident to get involved. 📣🤗 And yes, I know communication and connection are universal goals for every school and P&C 😅😂
