Rainbow on the Reef is a group for LGBTIQA+ people and their allies. GOALS
Our focus is on empowering and celebrating LGBTIQA+ youth and community.

Rainbow on the Reef is a group of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about cultivating a culture of pride in identity and diversity for our region of Gladstone and surrounds. We've come together to help nurture a culture of pride in identity and diversity for OUR region—Gladstone—and beyond. Ongoing coordination of successful, inclusive community events that recognises identity and diversity

in the context of our locality. Including a fully funded, collaborative PRIDE event that is accessible, visible, well promoted, and supported by the local community and industry, backed by a stand-alone organisation. THE STORY SO FAR
In March 2021, a small group of relative strangers responded to an LGBTIQA+ news article that was shared on a social media. With an interest in Collective Change Facilitation, these six people were inspired to see if there was either interest, or event opportunities, to increase awareness and support for the LGBTIQA+ community in the Gladstone region. Fast forward, we now meet regularly to plan, host and support events in the region. We seek to build connections with the wider community to support our cause. We operate as Company Limited by Guarantee with application for Charity and Deductible Gift Recipient Status. GET INVOLVED

What a magical, colourful, joy-filled celebration of pride, inclusion and community. Thank you to everyone who came along, showed up, danced, laughed, connected, volunteered, sponsored, performed, supported and helped make this year’s festival so special. 💜

GLADSTONE, IT’S HAPPENING. PRIDE STARTS TODAY 🌈🔥

The wait is over. Rainbow on the Reef Pride Festival 2026 starts TONIGHT, and the weekend is coming in hot.

🎬 Tonight: Rocky Horror at Gladstone Cinemas
Dress up, go bold, bring the drama and make it camp.

🌈 Tomorrow: Free Pride Fair Day at GPC Marina Main Stage
Music, drag, food, stalls, activities, performers, pets, Pride and a whole lot of colour by the water.

🎱 Tomorrow night: Balls Out Bingo + DJ Blondaye
Loud laughs, cheeky chaos and dance floor energy.
☕ Sunday: Pride Brunch

Coffee, breakfast and one last beautiful community moment.
This weekend is about showing up, taking up joyful space and celebrating Pride right here in regional Queensland.

Here’s the Rainbow on the Reef game plan:

🎬 Friday night: Rocky Horror Picture Show
Come dressed up. Come dramatic. Come ready to Time Warp.

🌈 Saturday day: Free Pride Fair Day
Live entertainment, food, stalls, activities, performers, community and colour at the Marina.

🎱 Saturday night: Balls Out Bingo + DJ Blondaye
Cheeky, loud, chaotic and very much not your Nanna’s bingo.

☕ Sunday morning: Pride Brunch
Coffee, breakfast, connection and a gentle little recovery moment.

🚌 Pride bus: Mackay, Rockhampton and Gladstone options

Because more people at Pride = more magic.
