Another great Low Carbon Landscape workshop with partners Renovo Ag. Thank you to Sal & Sam Kirby for hosting and Sal for sharing insights into the decision making process behind their Environmental Planting project. Lots of interest from participants in learning more - stay tuned for our 2027 program which includes detailed property planning workshops to delve into the detail of carbon, biodiversity and the nature repair market - specific to individual property mapping.

At our most recent Nature Spotters session at St Columba’s Catholic School, we were joined by Adam Shipp from Yurbay for a hands-on session exploring traditional plant use and Aboriginal knowledge. 🌿

The kids learnt about bush tucker and survival foods, made soap using Blackwood Wattle and discovered how Mat Rush can be used to make rope. 🌱🧼

It was a fantastic afternoon of learning about the incredible ways native plants have been used traditionally, while connecting with our local environment and culture. 💚

🌱 Check out our Soil Pit Workshop video with soil scientist Jason Condon, CSU, recorded during our Soil Test Interpretation Workshop in July.

This is the first in a series of short videos working through the findings from the workshop — helping land managers better understand their soil test results and the practical resources available to support informed soil management decisions.

🎥 Stay tuned as we dig a little deeper into the results, what they mean in the paddock, and how understanding your soils can help guide management decisions.

A great resource for land managers looking to better understand their soils and make more informed decisions. 🌿

At our most recent Nature Spotters session at St Colomba’s Catholic School, we headed down to Buckinbah Creek for a hands-on session exploring the amazing little creatures that call our waterways home! 💧🦐

The kids searched the creek for waterbugs and discovered shrimp, small fish and some very special mayfly larvae. We learnt that waterbugs can tell us a lot about the health of a waterway, with sensitive species such as mayfly larvae indicating good water quality and a healthy creek ecosystem. 🌿🔎

It was a fantastic day out getting our hands wet, exploring the creek and learning how the tiny creatures living in our waterways help us understand the bigger picture of a healthy environment. 💚
