Just a reminder to Yenda & surrounding residents, Yenda Rotary Club collect old vehicle batteries as a fund raiser, Money raised goes back into the community to support many local services and organisations. We can also organise to collect from your property.

Small bales of rice straw, good solid bales.
Available at Yenda Producers Griffith & Yenda Producers Fruit & Case Branch at Yenda. Cost is $8.00 per bale, will deliver for extra $2.00 per bale.

Rice straw is excellent to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and cool soil. It also serves as a carbon-rich compost ingredient, a protective winter cover for building raised beds, eventually breaking down to improve soil.

Many thanks Martin's gardening, for a great job at the Yenda Rotary Park, Martin helped us out by volunteering to mow our park after some vandals left a mess last weekend. Much appreciated

The Yenda Rotary Club would very much like to thank the committee & the local community for the tremendous turn out at our "Carol's by Candlelight" event at Memorial Park last night, there were so many talented musicians donating their time & effort to keep everyone entertained, we were kept very busy at the BBQ, all contributing to a great evening out. The Rotary Club of Yenda supports the Seeta Primary School in Uganda The team from Australia was warmly welcomed by the Seeta school students today. It started with singing the Ugandan national anthem, followed by the Buganda anthem, East African anthem and finished with the Australian anthem!

Yenda Rotary Club is organizing a community information & training program with trained paramedics to let Yenda Locals learn about Defibrillators & how to actually use them

There are currently 2 Defibrillators in Yenda,
One at Yenda Prods & also at the Supermarket

This will be held at Memorial Park Yenda
Sunday 23rd November from 10 am

Training in how to use a defibrillator for Yenda people.

What is a defibrillator?

A defibrillator is an electronic device that works by delivering a controlled electrical shock to the heart to correct a life-threatening arrhythmia such as ventricular fibrillation. ( Heart Attack ) That is, lack of rhythm. It shudders. A defibrillator is also known as an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

One Yenda Rotary Club's main fundraisers is gathering old batteries from the community for recycling, So if you have any old batteries lying around your yard, shed or farm, give any Yenda Rotarian a call , we will come and pick them up, alternatively, they can be dropped off at Yenda Prods, Yenda Branch

We shouldn't really have to say this again, The Rotary Park down at the bridge is wholly & solely looked after & maintained by members of Yenda Rotary Club, so why would someone from our community want to damage & steal tap fittings from the park, The pipe in the centre of the park (Pics) has had the tap stolen, this was replaced, only to have the new one taken a few hours later, these things make it very hard to maintain our park
