Sheepstation Ck Rd Reserve

Sheepstation Ck Rd Reserve John McAleese, Mr. Rason Frazier-Roxburgh, Mr. Edward McAleese, Mr. It has a beautiful quaint setting for a casual wedding or community events.

The history of this quaint little Reserve started on the 18th of December 1923, Under the then 'Board of Land and Works, by the Pursuance or powers carried by the Land 'Act 1915' section 181'

The grounds are under a Committee of Management, as it is still Crown Land governed by the Department of Environment Land Water and Planning (DELWP)

The first Committee of Management being local farmers -

Mr. Andrew Douthie and Mr Percy Payne, two of the present day Committee Members are direct descendants of founding members. The Reserve, (Locally known as "The Showgrounds") has in the past, a long history, originally used as an Agricultural Show, where farmers as far as Gippsland would bring their best animal to show. The local Cricket association used the grounds for many years, local school held their sports days, Business's would hold end of year break ups for the workers. Although the Public can access the grounds, the use of the facilities, such as power, kitchen and toilet, can be hired at a cost.

The Sheepstation Ck Rd Committee of Management would like to give a huge and grateful THANK YOU to all that attended our Yellingbo Christmas Fair on Sunday
A even bigger thank you for all the behind the scenes help, local businesses that were very generous with their donations, winners left grinners with their prizes, to local farmers for allowing us to use their properties for the Electric sign boards, one for donating logs for the Vintage Machines to cut up.
Yellingbo Rural Fire Brigade for their presence and huge help with Santa, Wandin Fire Brigade for bringing the Rescue Truck for display
To the Classic Cars that arrived, not as many as anticipated

We hope you all enjoyed the day

Looking forward for next year as there are new and exciting things planned

With less than a week to go!
Everything is in place, watching the weather daily, warmer weather midweek then cooling down again, as it goes with Melbourne weather!
Some new activities this year, we are sure will be enjoyed.
Children’s races with certificates for 1st 2nd & 3rd places.
Activities - we ask for a gold coin donation.
Still room for Stallholders if you make homemade products or sell products - we ask for $20 with ins. $25 without.
Spots still available for Classic cars - we ask for $5

We have a new activity for the children!
🏃‍♂️ Old Fashioned running races

• Sack Races
• Relay Races
