As the weather warms up and heatwave conditions are seen across the state this week, you can help birds, bugs, and animals by providing shady spots and water at your home.

🫗A shallow bowl of water can provide a drink or a dip for wildlife - add a few rocks or sticks so animals can climb out if needed
⛱️Create some shade using leafy branches or some fabric so wildlife can move out of the sun to cool down
🐾While keeping your pets cool, make sure they're playing cool and leaving wildlife alone

If you find an injured native animal call Wildlife Victoria on 03 8400 7300, or contact your local wildlife shelter, carer or vet.
