Nicole and Fi felt incredibly privileged to be invited to a special Community Talanoa at Village Connect yesterday. It was a powerful and humbling space to listen to the voices of our Māori and Pasifika community — hearing honestly about the needs and challenges our families are facing, but also the strength, ideas, and solutions already within the community that can help create positive change and support our families to flourish together.

Thanks for inviting us in, sharing your stories, and trusting us with your experiences. We’re grateful for the opportunity to listen, learn, and stand alongside our Māori and Pasifika Communities

2026 Families Week 🌟

Wow! What a huge turnout for our very first Families Week event. Our hearts are full after seeing so many local children and families come together, connect, and enjoy activities offered by local services.

It was so special to see what can be achieved when services collaborate to create opportunities for community connection and belonging.

A huge thank you to all of the services involved in making this event happen and for helping create such a wonderful event for our community. 💛 The Buzz Yarrabilba Community Centre - powered by YMCA Family and Community Place Logan Village & Districts Community Centre, South Rock State School Head 2 Health Kids, Underdogs Dance and Martial Arts Self Defence.

We’re excited to keep building connection through more community events like this in the future.

✨ Feel Good Futures Logan✨

Today, Strong Beginnings were part of the very first Feel Good Futures workshop 💬

This work is all about supporting healthier futures for Logan’s children and making sure community voice leads the way. It was powerful to have representatives from our community there, ensuring we had local lived experience in the room, sharing what really matters for families here in our patch 💛

Just the beginning of what’s to come.
