⏰ The weekend is almost upon us and that can only mean one thing…parkrun!

🏃🏻‍♀️ Well…for some of us. Many of our regulars will be taking part in the Coffs Backyard Ultra this Saturday, and we wish them all the very best of luck!

🏁 Event season is upon us, which means from week to week, some of our regulars may be unavailable, leaving us short for volunteers.

📣 If you can help by filling in the gaps please let us know! Check out the Future Roster to see which roles are available, or speak to one of our volunteers.

Everybody attends parkrun for different reasons…

🌳 Some do it to keep fit, and some do it for the community…

⏱️ Some do it to volunteer, and some do it to train…

👏 Some do it to push themselves, and some do it to support others…

🌏 Some do it to travel, and some do it to get out of the house…

🤝 Some do it to meet new people, and some do it to catch up with friends…

🎉 Some do it to reach the next milestone, and some do it to try new things…

What ever gets you out on a Saturday morning, we’re here for it, and we can’t wait to see you! 😊

🏅 The cool change was noticed by many today, but some made the most of it and pushed to secure themselves new personal bests for the Yamba course. Congratulations Melbourne Bales, Sophia Wright, Brian Wright, Tanja Jorg, Tom Hardacre and Anthony Johnson!

📣 A huge shout out to Mark who volunteered for the first time as our Barcode Scanner! He did a fantastic job under the watchful eye of our returning superstar scanner Jenny.

😊 We are always so grateful when we see new people giving volunteering a go. It doesn’t have to be every week, just whenever you can. It really helps! It gives some our regular volunteers the chance to run or walk themselves.

Why not give volunteering a go?

It doesn’t have to be an every week thing, just whenever you can.

parkrun is only possible because of our volunteers, and some of them would love to be running and walking too.

So please, if you can, have a chat to one of our volunteers this weekend and ask them how you can help out.

We can’t wait to see you all on Saturday!
