Yamba parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7am at Ford Park, River Road, Yamba, NSW, Australia. Yamba parkrun is FREE and open to people of all standards and ages, both as volunteers and as runners / walkers. We encourage people of every ability to take part, from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians, from juniors 5 years or older to those with decades of experience. All runners receive encouragement and enjoy being part of a community event open to all standards. Equally, our volunteer teams come from a huge variety of backgrounds and we urge everybody to get involved in organising their local events at least 3 times per year.

🌳 This week 78 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 35 were first timers to Yamba and 5 recorded new Personal Bests for the Yamba course.

🌦️ We were fortunate to dodge the early morning showers and we welcomed a stack of visitors who joined us from Grafton, Glen Innes, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Ipswich, Wollongong, Adelaide and England!

🏅A bunch of our parkrunners managed to achieve new personal bests for the Yamba course this morning. Congratulations Kane Douglas, Meina Rose, Samara Shaw, Moniqui McAuley and Glenda Sheather!

🔔 Many of our first timers to Yamba, particularly those from our Grafton crowd, set new overall personal bests this morning too! Congratulations to you all!

🥇 We also welcomed a bunch of people who competed their first ever parkrun with us in Yamba this morning. Welcome to parkrun Scott Childs, Tahli Drew, Matthew Hucker, Kirsty Bryant and Alyssa Way! We hope you had a great time!

🦺 A huge thank you to our volunteers who made our event possible. Thank you to Steven Jenner, Mardi Dunbar, Doug Anderson, Simon Dougherty, Rick Morton, Ian Dodd, Kim Ryan and Meina Rose!

👀 We’re in need of a lot of volunteers for the coming weeks! Our regular volunteers have been awesome but with many away in the coming weeks, we need some help filling some of our roles.

🌳 This week 68 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 25 were first timers to Yamba and 7 recorded new Personal Bests for the Yamba course.

🩷 Thank you to all those who wore fluro this morning! This month is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the idea behind wearing fluro is to encourage conversation surrounding the topic and ponder the theme “a little connection goes a long way”.

🩵 Consider the ways in which we connect and engage with others. This can be through many means, even parkrun. Check out the link below to discover more information and get linked to more resources.

🏆 We had one big milestone to celebrate this morning. Congratulations Elijah Hardacre on completing your 25th parkrun, and also securing a new personal best too!

📆 October is Mental Health Awareness Month and for the third year running we’re partnering with Rural Adversity Mental Health Program - RAMHP and Our Healthy Clarence to bring you a themed event!

☀️ This year’s theme is “a little connection goes a long way”.

🗣️ Whether you realise it or not, connections built from a simple exchange in a setting like parkrun can have a profound impact on the mental health and wellbeing of yourself and others.

👗 This weekend we’re inviting everybody to join us in their brightest fluro clothes, and encourage connection with friends, family, neighbours and with yourself!

🌳 This week 186 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 81 were first timers to Yamba and 22 recorded new Personal Bests for the Yamba course.

🏖️ Great to see so many visitors this morning! We hope you had a great time at our (usually) little parkrun! We had a few hiccups with some of our results. If you believe your time has been impacted, please reach out and we will get that fixed up for you!

🥇 Of those 81 parkrunners joining us for the first time in Yamba, 13 completed their first ever parkrun this morning! Welcome to parkrun Charlie Brooker, Mick Brooker, Alex Gleeson, Maggie Meagher, Mel Bales, Henry Hogan, Randy Peiris, Angus Bratter, Annabelle Horn, Andrew Fairclough, Rod Bales, Robert Langfield and Belinda Horan! We hope to see you again in future weeks!

🌳 This week 155 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 88 were first timers to Yamba and 13 recorded new Personal Bests for the Yamba course.

🏖️ It was a pleasure to welcome so many visitors this morning! We had 88 people join us for the first time in Yamba and plenty more making return visits! parkrunners joined us from Grafton, Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Scotland and Germany!

🥇 Of those 88 parkrunners joining us for the first time in Yamba, 12 completed their first ever parkrun this morning! Welcome to parkrun Maddison Markenstein, Jesse Soondram, Damon McDonald‑Kay, Sophia Frankcombe, Charles Shallcross, Eloise Wheat, Nick Carter, Kane Douglas, Tommy Wheat, Tait Mackrill, Flora Di Stasi, Ned Richards and Martin Becker! We hope to see you again in future weeks!

🏆 We had plenty of milestones to celebrate this morning. Congratulations Evangeline Ally (10), Doug Anderson (25), Breanna Gordon (50), Erin Taylor-Burling (100) and Rick Morton (25 volunteers)!

🌳 This week 68 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 37 were first timers to Yamba and 6 recorded new Personal Bests for the Yamba course.

📚 It’s not hard to tell that the Queensland school holidays have begun! We welcomed visitors from the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Central Queensland, Kingscliff and Tasmania!

🏆 We had a couple of milestones to celebrate this morning. Congratulations Jake Seivers and Deboragh Trajceski on both completing your 25th parkrun this morning!

🏅 A handful of parkrunners managed to achieve new personal bests for the Yamba course this morning. Congratulations Meina Rose, Hugh Wain, Murray Blundell, Rachel Pastoors, Mark Blake and Tabatha Wain!

🏁 The young guns ruled the field this morning, with Joe Wilson and Indie Courte bringing it home strong as our first finishers!

🥇 We also welcomed a few first timers today. Welcome to parkrun Harry Attenborough, George Attenborough, Sarah Watt, Savannah Forrest, Edwina Wilson, David Wilson and Kai Latimer! We hope to see you again in future weeks!

🙏 At the same time, if you can’t make the trip to Grafton, please reach out if you’re able to volunteer. This will likely be a big event for Yamba with the long weekend and school holidays so we need as many hands on deck as possible!
