Up to much this Sunday morning? Come & try Fermenting with Lucy! Probiotics are all the rage at the moment, come to the garden & learn how to make a jar for yourself without the $15 price tag!

BYO veggies of choice- Cabbage, cauliflower, carrot etc and we can forage in the garden for more. Bring 2 sterilised JARS if u can, preferably one that fits into the other.

These busy bees were getting to work today on the lemon blossoms. They smell absolutely fantastic!!!

Hello Members,

Just a reminder that it is our AGM tomorrow 20th August 2017 at 10am sharp to be held at the Yamba Community Garden.

There will be a ballot for President, please come along to vote.

Please stay for lunch after the meeting, Sausages, Rissoles, bread and rolls and Pizza bases will be provided, please byo toppings if you wish to make a Pizza. Salads or sweets would be welcome too.

I am looking forward to seeing you there.

Buzz Inn workshop, Sunday 2 July at 9.30am.

Native bees are good friends in the garden, performing the valuable service of pollination. Learn more about solitary native bees, and the advantages of attracting these to your garden, as well as learning how to make an insect hotel in which these good garden friends can set up house! Katrina Forstner, a Melbourne gardener, native bee enthusiast and maker of insect hotels will share her knowledge and skills to get you started on attracting more native pollinators into your garden.

The workshop will include a brief introduction to native bees, how to spot a native bee, the nesting types, buzz pollination, what materials are great to get you started with your own bee hotel, and no matter what type of green thumb you are how to set up a bee friendly garden.

Working bee on Sunday 12th March from 8am! Come along to get your hands dirty. Bring your morning tea to enjoy a cuppa and a chat afterwards.

Hope to see lots of happy gardeners as we have lots to do after the hot spell we have had.
