Join us for a MONTHLY evening of FUN-draising, as we collectively sing our hearts out in support of Afghan asylum seekers and refugees. Hosted by friendly local musicians lovingly guiding the way, this is an event for any and all community members, wanting to engage in singing for the purpose of CHANGE. Absolutely ALL voices are welcome, and no singing experience necessary. Just grab a drink, grab

~ About RAR ~
In 2021, after the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban, a small group of Yackandandah residents banded together and sponsored over 20 Afghan asylum seekers in support of their attempts to obtain visas to find safe refuge in Australia. With the growing support of locals within the Yackandandah community, a Yackandahdah chapter of the national group, Rural Australians for Refugees (RAR), has since been formed. Ultimately, RAR is a grassroots movement, striving to return compassion and humanity to Australia’s treatment of asylum seekers and refugees.
