Wynyard Landcare We are a volunteer group keen on promoting conservation activities in our local area and encouraging sustainable land and water management.

Wynyard Landcare has been active along the North-West Coast for over twenty years. The group's main focuses are coastal and riparian rehabilitation and revegetation. Anyone interested in learning about their local environment, or who would like to get involved in local conservation activities, is encouraged to come along to one of our working bees!

On this Saturday 17th October!

Join us in Wynyard on Saturday, 17 October to discover the Azure Kingfisher — an endangered subspecies found nowhere else in the world.

This special citizen science event will take you along the Inglis River to learn about these elusive birds, their habitat and how citizen science can help us better understand and protect them.

Hear from acoustic ecologist Charley Gros, meet the Wynyard Landcare Group, and explore the river with a guided walk.

Bring your binoculars or camera — you might just get lucky! 👀

📅 Saturday 17 October | 9am–3pm
Cape Bridge Picnic Ground, Wynyard
Guided walks: 10am or 1.30pm
