This week 51 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 5 were first timers and 7 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 3 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 9 volunteers:

Wynyard Foreshore parkrun started on 25th August 2018. Since then 2,623 participants have completed 18,001 parkruns covering a total distance of 90,005 km, including 2,013 new Personal Bests. A total of 214 individuals have volunteered 3,175 times.

🌳 AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY! 🌳

As you may know, our incredible Event Director is looking to step aside. We want to say a massive THANK YOU for the endless energy, dedication, Liz has given to make Wynyard Foreshore parkrun the wonderful community that we all love.

This means we are now looking for a new Event Director (or Co-Directors) to continue bringing Wynyard Foreshore parkrun to.our local community.

What will you do as an Event Director?
* You will be our main point of contact for parkrun HQ, via our Event Ambassador, Leanne, or directly.
* You will be a point of contact for Waratah - Wynyard Council.
* You will oversee the behind the scenes operations.
* You will provide support to our amazing core team of volunteer Run Directors.

You will not be alone, it's a team effort - we encourage Co-Event Directors to share the role. Leanne, our Event Ambassador will support & train you. Liz, & our team of Run Directors will be there on the ground too!

The best bit!
It's incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact Wynyard Foreshore parkrun has on our community.
