Live Well Tasmania (LWT) is a not for profit community organisation based in Wynyard, Northwest Tasmania. We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal community as the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work and pay respect to elders past and present. Mission:

* To improve health and wellbeing outcomes for Tasmanians

* To facilitate communication within communities with all tiers of gove

rnment and business to assist with building the capacity of communities to provide for basic needs. We are currently developing our Community Centre as a community space, a CENTs trading hub, an incubator for social and micro enterprises and the design and development of our community owned Oldina Community Farm. Live Well Tasmania is a Community Centre where local people come together to support each other and volunteer to help make their community a better place to live, work and play. If you want to be involved as a volunteer or to find out more about our organisation reach out to us.

Who says you can't grow much in Tassie in winter!! This was today's harvest for the ROC at the Baptist Church in Wynyard, they have food for those who need it every Monday and Friday morning. They provide a fantastic service for our community!

Thanks as always to our wonderful volunteers, our garlic and onions are now all mulched, and our paths are now all woodchipped at the Oldina Community Farm. Our exciting news is that we are planning a new berry patch... watch this space for more details!

We had a wonderful day at Live Well Oldina Community Farm yesterday, thank you as always to our great volunteers! We did lots of weeding, lots of planting of seeds and seedlings eg beetroot, spring onions, celery, green manure, and planted a Cherry x Plum tree! Pumpkin soup and homemade bread was enjoyed by all.
New volunteers very welcome, every Thursday,10am to 2pm.

Everyone welcome for the community bike ride tomorrow, normally first Thursday of the month, but last Thursday the weather was not great, tomorrow should be good for a nice bike ride along the coast!
