Our drummers will be part of this amazing event - we are pretty excited!!
Come to see mapali on Sunday 19 March in Devonport :)

The drummers have been drumming!

Ahead of mapali – Sunset Gathering which will be held on the banks of the Mersey River, on the final day of Ten Days on the Island 2023, the incredible Taiko Drummers have been rehearsing to celebrate story and community.

Returning to Devonport, this now-iconic event is created and narrated by artist and cultural leader Dave mangenner Gough. mapali 2023 mulaka makalina (hunting stingray), is inspired by the waters of the river that literally runs throughout this stirring event.
